Resource - Family Healing
Collectively we relinquish our tremendous power as parents - from conception onwards. We relinquish our power to doctors and to midwives; to familial and cultural expectations; to ‘authorities’ within our religious/spiritual organizations; and to teachers within schooling systems.
While we absolutely should be able to rely on the support of the above named people, they ought to be in service to us / our family’s choices. Our families need not be in service to their agendas.
When we stop outsourcing our most important role in life as our children’s first teachers, we reclaim and then heal our families, communities and world. We do this by healing our own childhood wounding and our own birth imprinting.
Children do not know how to "self-regulate." They co-regulate. If we as adults are not CALM, it is impossible for our young children to come into a place of CALM.

Centering the Mother-baby dyad in theory AND in practice, for thriving family systems.Join now
This page is a call to action for Mothers, Fathers, invested family members and humans - to pick up the lifecord that we have in connection with our children. The children NEED mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically healthy adults in their lives - for their own health and well being.
May we as adults HEAL our own traumas and hurts - so that the children do not need to take on this work. May we as adults tend to the children - in the way we would want someone to tend to our own children -OR- in the way we would have wanted someone to tend to us as a child. Family’s are microcosms of the universe - and if we want to ‘heal the world,’ the fertile ground to begin is in our homes.
