Postpartum Care
Perinatal mood disorders at epidemic levels are the SYMPTOM and not the PROBLEM. Our human genome is essentially the same now as it was over 1,000 years ago. The physiologic requirements for wellness is the same NOW as it was THEN.
The root of the problem then to what is called ‘perinatal mood disorders,’ is the disfunction and disharmony within our human environments, manifesting through the vulnerable bodies of MOTHERS.

Resource - Postpartum Care
Within the evolving conversation of the postpartum period and the essentiality of postpartum care, is the imperative of recognizing that: The way we are collectively, currently living -is not supportive of Maternal health, and therefore is not supportive of humanity.
Collectively, WE keep trying to fit into systems and structures that were not designed to support Life - but rather - were designed specifically to destroy Life.
To address ‘the postpartum period’ is to address ‘maternal health,’ which is to address ‘children’s health,’ and ‘family health.’ To address the postpartum period is to address the reality that we need an entire restructuring of how we are currently living, in order for Mothers, children and families too THRIVE. We are addressing our WAY OF LIFE. Implicit to this restructuring in our lives to ways that honor Mothers, is REVILLAGING.
