You Will Learn:
- ★ How ancient postpartum traditions throughout the world—while specific to the cultural context in which they come—all share deep common roots, pointing to the importance of an extended resting period, warmth, specific foods and bodywork after birth. That many of these traditions also teach that how a mother is cared for during the postpartum time—will profoundly be reflected in her health through menopause and beyond. And that these commonalities of postpartum traditions throughout the world are not a coincidence—because they are rooted in our physiologic design as humans. ★
- ★ The ‘WHY’ behind postpartum care. When we understand ‘WHY’ we do something, we understand the reasons and purpose of it. When we understand the reasons and purposes of it, we begin to value it. We come together in INNATE’s training to understand ‘WHY’ proper postpartum care assure health and vitality through menopause and beyond. This ‘WHY’ is what has been largely forgotten in modern culture and postpartum care; even when the ‘HOW’ is remembered. When we interweave the ‘WHY’ of postpartum care with the ‘HOW’ to optimally offer this care, the dominant cultural paradigm of ‘postpartum care as luxury,’ begins to shift to ‘postpartum care as necessity.’ ★
- ★ Postpartum care from the perspective of traditional teachings of midwifery, woven together with the modern sciences of Epigenetics, Pre and Perinatal Psychology, the Primal Continuum, Psychoneuroimmunology, Woman-Centered Physiology and Anatomy, Somatic Psychology, Neurobiology and much, much more. ★
- ★ About the profound changes that occur through the childbearing continuum; understanding the implications of physiologic appropriate postpartum care- for women’s life-long health. ★

What Students Are Saying
What I have learned from INNATE’s training with Rachelle, is maturity. I have gained insight of true maturation for my life; for my work as a nurse, a birth-worker, a woman, and a human on planet Earth. What I received from this training is a wisdom that I can never unlearn and that I will take with me through life for the rest of my journey in it. From the first moment to the last moment I have felt taught in a way I have never been taught. I was given tools to understand how to learn it and also how to do the work. Rachelle is honest, clear, wise, and a true teacher. This is a course on how to care for life as much as it is on postpartum support. I can not recommend it enough. I am forever grateful. Truly life changing!!!
